Job summary

Free-Work UK is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Officer for a central London bank to lead the management, security and continued improvement of enterprise IT infrastructure.

The role requires 7+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure with strong Windows, Linux, VMware, 365, networking and cybersecurity skills. Office-based 5 days per week during probation, with a 12-month FTC and a salary in the £70k–£75k range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT/Computing or related field.
• 7+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience, preferably in banking/financial services.
• Strong technical skills across Windows, Linux, VMware, networking and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux server environments and optimize performance.
• Manage VMware vSphere and backup/DR with Veeam solutions.
• Oversee security tooling including SEP/SEE, DLP, SIEM, and vulnerability management.
• Support MS 365 services, AD/GPOs, and endpoint security across the workforce.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance and security standards.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and availability.
