Job summary

King's College London is seeking a skilled IT professional to ensure robust designs and architectures for core services backed by the Private Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualisation (PCI&V) Team. The role requires demonstrable expertise in monitoring, trouble-shooting, and delivering improvements across private, public and hybrid cloud environments.

Applicants should have strong design capabilities, knowledge of IT security protocols, and experience delivering projects with both Waterfall

Qualifications

• Demonstrable IT operational monitoring, management and troubleshooting skills for virtualisation, converged and hyper converged infra.
• Design and architecture experience across public, private and hybrid cloud, virtualisation and HCI tech.
• Good working knowledge of IT security protocols, processes, policies and standards.
• Experience delivering projects in structured waterfall and Agile/SAFe environments.
• Ability to write high/low level design, run books and manuals.
• Ability to set personal/team objectives and track progress.
• Experience with IT disaster recovery in business continuity.
• Experience with admin, management and knowledge of relevant technologies.
