Job summary

North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Lead to join the IT team at NESCOT College. The role focuses on designing, maintaining and evolving the College's IT infrastructure, with responsibility for architecture, standards and major projects.

Candidate will manage cloud, server, storage and backup platforms, oversee disaster recovery and business continuity, and provide senior escalation. Experience in education environments is advantageous.

Qualifications

• IT networking qualifications and 5+ years in an IT role.
• Experience of project management across disciplines.
• Knowledge of the current cyber security landscape.
• Experience in education environments is an advantage.
• Proactive and flexible approach in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, maintenance and development of the College's infrastructure.
• Own infrastructure architecture, standards and documentation.
• Lead major infrastructure projects.
• Manage cloud, server, storage and backup platforms.
• Own the disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
• Provide third-line technical escalation.
• Manage infrastructure suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with security standards.
• Mentor and develop technical staff.
• Liaise with multiple third party suppliers and contractors.
