Job summary

Capgemini in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Project/Programme Manager to lead large IT and technology projects and programmes for public sector and other clients. You will manage end-to-end delivery across the full project lifecycle, coordinating multi-discipline and multi-supplier teams, and engaging with senior stakeholders to drive value.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering IT/technology projects and programmes at a senior level.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle and end-to-end delivery.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery practices in matrix and multi-supplier environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and RAID ownership.
• Demonstrate financial acumen with P&L accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of large and complex IT/technology projects and programmes across the full project lifecycle (end-to-end).
• Provide strong leadership to multi-discipline and multi-supplier teams, driving high performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, manage risks and dependencies, and remove blockers.
• Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and ensure alignment and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and agile delivery practices to increase efficiency.
• Manage projects/programmes within budgets with forecasting and change control.
• Develop commercial proposals and work with various contract types (e.g., Time & Materials, fixed price).
• Provide clear reporting and data to support senior decision-making.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment to support growth and innovation.
