Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a highly experienced Railway Engineering Safety Professional to lead Independent Safety Assessment activities within the Transportation division. The role focuses on delivering AsBo and ISA services across Derby, Birmingham and Manchester, with opportunities to work on major rail programs.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Independent Safety Assessment activities (AsBo/ISA) per EN ISO17020.
• Knowledge of railway standards and legislation (TSIs, NTSNs, RIS, RGS).
• Experience with hazard identification and risk analysis (HAZID/HAZOP/FMECA/FTA).
• Ability to author/review Safety Assessment Plans and Safety Assessment Reports.

Responsibilities

• Act as Independent Safety Assessor for AsBo/ISA projects under CS M-REA.
• Lead safety assurance across rail projects and lifecycle stages.
• Engage with stakeholders and clients to shape services and opportunities.
• Manage programmes and budgets for project delivery and bid support.
