Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking experienced Railway Engineering Safety Professionals to deliver Rail Infrastructure and Signalling projects within the Transportation division. Roles are advertised for Derby, Birmingham, and Manchester with other locations considered.

You will help define and solve problems, mentor colleagues, and engage with stakeholders to ensure safety is integral to decision-making across major rail programmes including HS2 and East West Rail.

Qualifications

• Application and management of Engineering Safety Management within the rail industry in accordance with the Common Safety Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment Regulations.
• Facilitating hazard identification workshops and undertaking subsequent management activities.
• Application of TSIs/NTSNs.
• Application of RAM analysis and assurance.
• Authorisation of multidisciplinary rail infrastructure projects.
• Presentations and liaison with approval authorities and/or independent bodies.
• Developing and implementing assurance strategies/plans for projects.
• Authoring Safety Cases and Safety Justification Reports.
• Qualitative and/or Quantitative Risk Assessments.

Responsibilities

• Head / support the delivery of Engineering Safety Management on major projects across all engineering disciplines.
• Collaborate with clients to define and solve problems and influence decisions.
• Mentor and develop staff within the team.
