Job summary

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital invites applications for a consultant interventional cardiologist with a special interest in coronary intervention. The appointee will perform complex coronary interventions, contribute to new procedure development, and participate in education, MDTs and research within the Trust.

The post supports a strong interventional cardiology service with a broad range of procedures, a regional network, and opportunities for teaching and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications

• MRCP and Specialist Register on UK pathway or within 6 months of CCT
• Postgraduate degree (MD/PhD) preferred
• Extensive experience in modern cardiac intervention and coronary physiology/imaging

Responsibilities

• Participate in cardiologist of the week rota
• Take part in primary PCI on-call rota
• Provide coronary intervention including complex cases
• Outpatient review in general and interventional clinics
• Engage in MDT, education, audit and research efforts
