Job summary

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital invites applications for a Locum Consultant Cardiologist with a Specialist Interest in Cardiac Imaging. The appointee will join an established team providing multimodality cardiac imaging including echo, CT and MRI, and contribute to valvular and structural heart programmes within a busy tertiary centre.

Essential are GMC registration and MRCP (UK) or equivalent, with entry on the Specialist Register or expected within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Ability to independently perform and interpret advanced cardiac imaging in two modalities (echo, CT or MRI).
• Full GMC registration and Specialist Register entry (or within 6 months).
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent training/experience; entry on Specialist Register or near completion.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of imaging cardiologists to provide multimodality imaging.
• Contribute to a wide range of clinical pathways including valvular disease, structural/interventional cardiology and electrophysiology.
• Lead in MDT meetings and provide imaging opinion for elective and urgent cases.
