Job summary

Environment Agency seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to lead a portfolio of complex audits from planning to execution. You will identify risks with stakeholders, design testing, and present findings in formal reports, supported by an Audit Manager.

We welcome applicants with CMAIIA/CCAB-equivalent qualifications and strong analytical and communication skills. The role supports flexible working arrangements and collaboration across the Internal Audit team in Bristol.

Qualifications

• Complete or part-qualified (>50%) Chartered Internal Auditor (CMIIA), CCAB or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of risk-based internal auditing.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver a portfolio of complex audits.
• Excellent written skills and ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a suite of complex internal audits from the annual plan from inception to completion.
• Identify risks in terms of reference agreed with stakeholders, design testing plans and deliver.
• Clearly communicate findings through exit meetings and formal reports, with support from an Audit Manager.
• Collaborate with the team and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
