Job summary

Cygnet Health Care is seeking an Internal Audit Assistant Manager in its Finance Team. The role leads risk-based audits across healthcare, support and corporate functions, and writes audit reports.

It is a full-time, hybrid position with two office days and three at home, reporting to the Group Internal Audit Manager. The successful candidate will have significant internal or external audit experience, strong controls knowledge, and the ability to manage audits independently while developing

Qualifications

• Significant experience in internal audit, external audit, risk or finance.
• Experience leading audit assignments independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute risk-based audits of financial, operational and compliance risks across healthcare, support and corporate functions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of financial, operational and compliance controls.
• Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Produce clear, practical and value-adding audit reports.
• Review revenue assurance: occupancy and bed utilisation reporting, funding and contract compliance, revenue recognition, billing completeness and leakage.
• Review payroll controls: processing, starters, leavers and contract changes, overtime and enhanced payments, reconciliations, segregation of duties and access.
