Cygnet Group is seeking an Internal Audit Assistant Manager for its Kings Hill office in Kent. The role is hybrid with two days in the office and three days remote, reporting to the Group Internal Audit Manager.

You will lead a risk-based internal audit programme across healthcare, support, and corporate functions, delivering audits of financial, operational, and compliance risks. You will focus on revenue assurance, payroll controls, agency staffing, IT governance, estates, procurement, and

Qualifications

• Significant experience within Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk or Finance.
• Experience leading audit assignments independently.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and risk management.
• Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the effectiveness of financial, operational, and compliance controls.
• Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead audits across revenue assurance, payroll, agency staffing, IT, estates, and procurement.
• Produce clear, practical audit reports for senior leadership.
• Support data analytics and development of audit methodologies.
