Job summary

INEOS Chemicals Grangemouth Limited is seeking a senior inspection engineer to provide specialist inspection support across FPS integrity. You will manage mechanical, civil and structural integrity activities, ensuring compliance with PSSR, PSR, COMAH, PFEER, SCR and driving 100% asset availability.

Reporting to the Integrity Manager, you will lead a small NDT team, prepare examination schemes, deliver compliant inspection reports and contribute to RBI processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Category 3 Inspection Engineer as defined in UKAS RG2.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant discipline, with at least 1 year in in-service inspection of pressure systems.
• 1–4 specialist areas of inspection accountability.
• Detailed knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
• In-depth knowledge of routine non-destructive inspection techniques and appreciation of specialist NDT techniques.
• Understanding of materials and corrosion mechanisms.
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Commitment to personal safety and procedural compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Written Schemes of Examination in accordance with PSSR 2000 and Examination section of the quality manual.
• Deliver safe and competent examination of equipment to the requirements of the WSE.
• Provide expert judgement in inspection and endorsement of all inspectable items in area of responsibility.
• Lead and manage a team of NDT technicians (typically 3-5) and coordinate with asset & IM planning functions.
• Deliver Integrity related Asset Inspections to comply with IGGN 30, PSSR and Element 4 of the Management System.
