Job summary

INEOS Chemicals Grangemouth Limited is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead and deliver process safety support across FPS assets, chair PHAs, drive safety studies, and ensure compliance with COMAH and regulatory expectations at Grangemouth.

You will mentor engineers, develop KPI trends, review modifications, conduct root cause investigations, and collaborate with Asset management to close gaps in safety performance.

Qualifications

• Chartered chemical engineer with minimum 5 years experience in petrochemical, midstream, oil & gas or refinery operations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders and 3rd party specialists.
• Strong technical skills specifically in process safety.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex systems and regulations.
• Risk assessment knowledge and ability to interpret results.
• Good knowledge of human factors influence on process safety and current industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides process safety guidance to FPS South assets, including terminals and loading points.
• Develops and implements strategies for non-compliance with regulations and closes gaps with Asset management.
• Leads PHAs, LOPAs and safety reviews in response to asset or project demand.
• Supports site COMAH submissions and maintains QRAs and safety information.
• Drives KPI trends in process safety and leads improvement plans.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and participates in root cause investigations of process safety incidents.
