Job summary

INEOS Grangemouth, UK, is seeking a CAT 2 Inspection Engineer to support in-service examinations of pressurised and non-pressurised process piping, tanks and vessels at a high-hazard petrochemical site.

The role requires a mechanical/materials engineering degree or an HNC, 5+ years of in-service inspection experience, and certifications such as EEMUA 159 or API 653. Proficiency in Credo and Maximo is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or HNC in mechanical/materials engineering with in-service inspection experience.
• Experience with statutory/non-statutory examinations on process pipework, vessels, tanks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Written Schemes of Examination for process plant equipment.
• Carry out in-service examinations per Written Schemes of Examination.
• Assess deterioration and calculate degradation rates for continued operation.
• Identify remedial actions and raise recommendations.
• Participate in risk based inspection studies.
