Job summary

STEMCELL Technologies UK Ltd. is seeking a Manager, Instrumentation Manufacturing to lead the UK production team responsible for cell sorting instruments and consumables. You will oversee assembly, test, and delivery while ensuring regulatory compliance and production readiness for new products.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering and Quality to optimize processes, implement improvements, and scale operations to meet demand in a fast-paced life sciences environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline; 10+ years in regulated manufacturing management.
• Experience with high-precision electro-mechanical assembly, test and calibration techniques.
• Experience enabling new product introductions and transfers from development to manufacture.
• Experience managing multiple product lines and providing production planning.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; SAP or SyteLine advantageous.
• Experience in ISO 13485, GMP or cleanroom environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UK Instrumentation manufacturing team with resource allocation, training, and career development.
• Oversee manufacture, assembly, test, and delivery of cell sorting instruments and cartridges.
• Manage the manufacturing facility, including equipment, parts storage and material flow.
• Ensure health and safety and compliance with Quality Management System, ISO, GMP.
• Support transfer of new products and changes into routine manufacture; ensure readiness and scale-up.
• Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes focusing on quality, efficiency, yield, and cost.
