Placements24 in Randburg is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer to design, implement, and maintain control systems that ensure safe, efficient operation of industrial processes.

You will work with PLC/DCS platforms, field instrumentation, and SIS concepts, developing control strategies, troubleshooting issues, and supporting operations with technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Degree in EE/Chemical Eng with instrumentation and control specialization.
• Minimum 6 years in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Proficiency with major PLC/DCS platforms and SCADA systems.
• Strong understanding of SIS, process dynamics, and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Design, configure, and program PLCs/DCS.
• Select, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Develop control strategies to optimize processes.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems to minimize downtime.
• Draft P&IDs and control philosophies; ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance for technical support.
