Job summary

Selwood Limited in Bristol seeks a Senior Installation Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of Installation Supervisors, delivering safe, high-quality installations within project timelines and budgets.

You will oversee training, enforce safety policies, and manage on-site activities across the UK, including travel and nights away as needed. A safety-critical medical is required and relevant certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pump Hire Industry or Mechanical engineering/construction with water treatment knowledge.
• Proven on-site team supervision with strong communication to motivate and resolve conflicts.
• Mentoring, coaching, and developing teams; identify training needs and address performance gaps.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK with occasional nights away.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
• NVQ Level 3 in Site Supervision.
• CSCS Gold Card (Supervisor).
• Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
• Site Supervisors Safety Training SSSTS.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, supervise, mentor, and support Installation Supervisors, Trainee Installation Supervisors, and other team members, promoting best practices and ensuring safe, effective, and efficient performance.
• Regularly assess and evaluate team competency and performance, addressing any skills or behavioural gaps and providing appropriate training and feedback.
• Ensure all project team members comply with company, industry, and client-specific policies, safe systems of work, and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely reports, including training and project delivery records, to the agreed standards.
• Deliver effective and timely issue management during and post installation to ensure client satisfaction.
• Be willing to be the “third man” on projects as required.
• This role requires willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, lone working and with sewage; a safety-critical medical is required.
