Job Description:

Kenect Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer to join a well-established provider of fire and security solutions. This full-time, permanent role is based in Northern Ireland, with travel across NI & ROI required. The salary ranges from £30,000 to £35,000 DOE.

The ideal candidate is experienced in hands-on fieldwork, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional client service. Responsibilities include carrying out planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and system upgrades on fire and security systems as part of a skilled engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and emergency lighting.
2. Perform fault finding and diagnostics to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
3. Provide onsite repairs and technical support, maintaining high customer service standards.
4. Maintain accurate service records using digital software.
5. Liaise with the field line manager and support teams to deliver timely service.
6. Ensure compliance with industry standards (BAFE, NSI Gold).
7. Identify risks and recommend upgrades or improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience servicing fire and/or security systems.
• CSR Card.
• Strong fault-finding skills and technical knowledge across platforms.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
• Proactive and flexible attitude towards working hours and travel.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of compliance standards and digital reporting systems.
