Job Description:

Kenect Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer for fire and security systems to join a well-established provider in Northern Ireland. The role involves travel across NI & ROI, offering a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 DOE. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for experienced engineers who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service.

As part of a close-knit engineering team, you will conduct scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, and system upgrades on various fire and security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive service on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and emergency lighting.
2. Diagnose faults to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
3. Provide onsite repairs and technical support, maintaining high standards of customer service.
4. Maintain accurate service records using digital software.
5. Coordinate with field managers and support teams to ensure timely service delivery.
6. Ensure compliance with industry standards (BAFE, NSI Gold).
7. Identify risks and recommend system upgrades or improvements.

Qualifications:

• Experience servicing fire and/or security systems.
• CSR Card.
• Strong fault-finding skills and technical knowledge across platforms.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proactive, flexible attitude towards work hours and travel.
• Full UK driving license.
• Knowledge of compliance standards and digital reporting systems.
