Job summary

INEOS Grangemouth seeks an experienced Inspection Engineer to lead mechanical, civil and structural integrity inspections, ensuring compliance with PSSR, PSR, COMAH, PFEER and IGGN30 across FPS assets. You will manage a small team of NDT technicians, coordinate with planning, deliver end-to-end inspection reports and uphold safety through the 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules.

Location Grangemouth with occasional travel to Aberdeen/ offshore, full-time on-site role with a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Minimum Category 3 Inspection Engineer as defined in UKAS RG2.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a relevant discipline with at least 1 year in in-service inspection of pressure systems.
• Specialist areas of inspection accountability (1–4).
• In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Experience with routine NDT techniques and appreciation of specialist NDT techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of NDT technicians (3–5) with planning coordination.
• Prepare Written Schemes of Examination per PSSR 2000 and corresponding quality manual sections.
• Deliver safe, competent inspection of equipment to WSE requirements and document results.
• Provide expert judgement on inspection and endorsement of inspectable items.
• Assess and agree postponements of examination when technically appropriate.
• Support RBI process and broader business on inspection and NDT matters.
• Ensure compliance with IGGN30, PSSR and FPS integrity requirements.
