Job summary

INEOS FPS is seeking a Senior Inspection Engineer to provide robust inspection support across mechanical, civil and structural integrity. You will lead a small NDT team, prepare Written Schemes of Examination, and ensure inspections meet PSR, PSSR and IGGN30 requirements across Grangemouth and offshore interfaces.

The role demands five years in in-service inspection, strong leadership and clear communication with multi-disciplinary teams, with travel to Aberdeen/offshore as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum UKAS RG2 Category 2 Inspection Engineer.
• Over five years in engineering inspection of pressure systems.
• Experience with RBI and inspection-related standards (PSSR, PSR, COMAH).
• Strong leadership, communication and ability to lead NDT teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of NDT technicians (3–5) and coordinate with planning.
• Prepare Written Schemes of Examination under PSSR 2000.
• Deliver compliant inspections and write inspection reports.
• Provide expert judgement on inspection scope and endorsement.
• Ensure safety and align with IGGN30, PS7 and integrity requirements.
