Sierra 57 Consult Ltd is assisting in finding an Injection Moulding Setter for an established injection moulding manufacturer in the UK. The role focuses on safe, accurate setting of moulding machines and tools to meet safety, quality and production targets.

The ideal candidate will have several years of setter experience, troubleshooting and tool trials, with a strong emphasis on process optimization, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an injection moulding manufacturing environment is essential.
• Recognised industry qualification would be an advantage.
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving & tool trials.
• Knowledge of process optimisation, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Start up and shut down injection mould machines, following procedures and setting sheets.
• Operate injection moulding machines, robots and ancillary equipment.
• Perform tool changes with safe working practices and procedures.
• Record start up scrap and complete first off paperwork for Quality Engineer.
• Trial new tools following the correct procedure and report tooling issues to Shift Manager.
• Maintain 5S and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
