Job summary

ASC Connections is recruiting an Injection Moulding Setter for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the UK. The role involves setting up moulding machines, conducting tool changes, and optimising processes on a Continental shift with regular overtime optional.

You will work with a small team to ensure safe operation, maintain product quality, and troubleshoot equipment and process issues in a modern production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Injection Moulding Setter or Technician.
• Strong tool changing, machine setting and process/condition setting experience.
• Knowledge of moulding machinery, mould tools, materials and ancillary equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up injection moulding machines from scratch and optimise conditions.
• Carry out mould and tool changes safely and efficiently.
• Set up and operate 3-axis robots.
• Conduct quality checks and adjust processes to maintain quality.
• Identify and resolve moulding, machine and production issues.
• Monitor machine performance and sustain efficiency across runs.

Job description

An award-winning, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility supplying products to the retail and consumer markets is looking to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join its production team.

Working alongside a team of 2-3 Setters, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe set-up of injection moulding machines, including tool changes, condition setting and process optimisation.

As an Injection Moulding Setter, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting injection moulding machines from scratch and achieving optimum operating conditions.
• Carrying out mould and tool changes efficiently and safely.
• Setting and operating 3-axis robots.
• Carrying out quality checks and making adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Fault finding and resolving moulding, machine and production issues.
• Monitoring and maintaining efficient machine performance throughout production runs.

To be successful in this Injection Moulding Setter position, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience working as an Injection Moulding Setter or Technician.
• Strong experience in tool changing, machine setting and process/condition setting.
• Good knowledge of injection moulding machinery, mould tools, materials and ancillary equipment.
• A good understanding of injection moulding processes and the ability to troubleshoot production issues.
