Job summary

Acorn Recruitment is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Technician to provide third-line technical support for critical digital infrastructure in Norwich. The role covers EOC systems, Windows server infrastructure, LAN/WAN networks, telephony and business applications, with responsibilities for incident resolution and project work.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering third-line infrastructure support across networks, servers and applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues with internal teams and suppliers.
• Knowledge of security, resilience and asset management best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide third-line technical support across networks, hardware, software, telecommunications and critical EOC systems.
• Manage the daily maintenance, monitoring and availability of Trust-wide digital infrastructure.
• Act as a senior technical resource, supporting and advising first- and second-line technicians.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, escalating to third-party suppliers where required.
• Plan and deliver system upgrades, repairs, maintenance and technical improvements.
• Monitor system and network health and ensure issues, risks and incidents are escalated as needed.
• Support technical workstreams within digital and infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical advice to managers and users on systems, infrastructure and resilience.
• Assist with the specification and procurement of hardware, software and digital systems.
• Maintain IT asset records, supplier information and contracts.
• Support information governance, digital security and compliance requirements.
• Provide technical training and guidance to users when required.
• Participate in on-call rota and provide technical support during major incidents.
• Deputise for the Digital Delivery Manager (Infrastructure) when required.
• Manage and prioritise your own workload while supporting wider Digital Team requirements.
