Job summary

VIQU Limited is recruiting for an NHS Infrastructure Technician in Norfolk on a 6‑month contract. The role focuses on third‑line support for complex enterprise infrastructure, including Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP and virtualization platforms.

You will contribute to upgrades, resilience improvements and service delivery within a busy Digital Services team. The successful candidate will have senior/3rd‑line experience, strong Microsoft technology skills, and the ability to troubleshoot critical

Qualifications

• Proven experience in infrastructure support at senior/3rd line level.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP and Microsoft-based infra tech.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere or Hyper-V).
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure-connected services, backup and DR technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide third-line support across Windows Server, AD, networking and enterprise infrastructure.
• Manage virtualised server environments ensuring availability, resilience and performance.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analyses for major incidents and outages.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology refresh programmes.
• Monitor and optimise network, server and system performance with proactive maintenance and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver infrastructure improvements and digital transformation.
