Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Infrastructure Planning team in the UK. You will support town planning and consenting inputs on major nationally significant infrastructure projects, working within multi-disciplinary teams to secure consent under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008, and Transport and Works Act Order.

You will demonstrate leadership in complex negotiations, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery, with eligibility for RTPI

Qualifications

Degree in town planning (or equivalent) required.
Member of RTPI or eligible for membership preferred.
Strong leadership and experience in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead consenting inputs on major projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs).
Provide technical leadership and advise clients on consenting requirements.
Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under planning acts.
Act as Project Director for Infrastructure Planning projects.
Lead complex negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders.
Act as Planning Expert Witness at examinations or hearings.
Support new work opportunities aligned with growth strategy.
Understand project finances and manage consultancy delivery.
