Job summary

SSE is seeking a Senior Insurance Manager to protect electricity infrastructure projects worldwide. You will assess complex property and construction risks, shape insurance solutions and support large loss recoveries. Property loss adjusting experience is highly valued.

Based in Scotland with 50% weekly travel to Glasgow or Perth, you will work with the Head of Insurance and external brokers to place projects in the London market and manage claims alongside loss adjusters, insurers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong technical insurance background, preferably in property loss adjusting.
• Ability to analyse policy coverage, causation, damage and loss quantum.
• Experience working with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, engineers and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technically robust insurance input across large infrastructure projects from development to execution.
• Be the technical subject matter expert and first contact for the business across the portfolio of assets.
• Collaborate with Head of Insurance and brokers to develop underwriting information and place large capital projects.
