Job summary

AJ Bell is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deliver, support and maintain secure infrastructure across the technology estate. You will own technical design for medium-sized changes, balance hands-on delivery with leadership, guide engineers, and ensure delivery aligns with standards, security and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or similar technical role in financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience designing, delivering and supporting production infrastructure services.
• Own technical design and delivery for medium-sized infrastructure changes or projects.
• Understand dependencies between infrastructure technologies, applications, networks, identity, security and operations.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support incident resolution.
• Produce technical documentation, implementation plans and standards.
• Work within change control and IT governance processes.
• Communicate risks and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
• Coach and guide junior engineers.
• Manage competing priorities to meet timescales.

• Own technical design and delivery for medium-sized changes/projects.
• Balance hands-on work with planning and technical leadership.
• Ensure reliability, security and maintainability of AJ Bell infrastructure services.

• Collaborate with suppliers and third-party providers as needed.
• Support regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty.
• Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
