Job summary

AJ Bell is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deliver and support secure and resilient infrastructure across our technology estate. You will own technical design for medium-sized changes, guide engineers and work within governance and security requirements.

The role balances hands-on delivery with planning, stakeholder comms and documentation, to support reliability and regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in an Infrastructure Engineer role within a regulated or business-critical environment.
• Ability to own design and delivery for medium-sized infrastructure changes or projects.
• Experience documenting standards, implementation plans and handover material.
• Familiarity with change control, governance and service management processes.
• Excellent communication to explain risks and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and support production infrastructure services.
• Own technical design and delivery for medium-sized infrastructure changes or projects.
• Coach and guide less-experienced engineers.
• Ensure changes align with security, compliance and governance.
