Job summary

KDR Talent Solutions partners with a globally recognised technology-led organisation to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly skilled Technical Operations team in the UK. You will design, build and operate enterprise infrastructure across Linux, networking, automation and datacentre tech, influencing global platforms.

In this role you will deliver strategic infra projects, provide technical leadership, act as an escalation point, and mentor junior engineers while advancing

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL or similar).
• Datacentre and physical infrastructure experience.
• Networking knowledge covering routing, switching, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Scripting experience using Bash, Python or similar.
• Experience supporting virtualised infrastructure.
• Containerisation knowledge, ideally Docker.
• AWX/Ansible Automation Platform experience.
• Infrastructure security and hardening knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Administer and optimise Linux-based environments.
• Drive infrastructure automation using Ansible and IaC principles.
• Support datacentre deployments, hardware installations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot complex networking, server and platform issues.
• Contribute to infrastructure architecture and technical decision-making.
• Maintain security, resilience and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with global technical teams and stakeholders.
