Job summary

Razorblue Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Consulting to join a growing tech team in the UK. You’ll manage projects from planning through delivery, with hands‑on work in on‑prem and cloud environments, including VMware/Hyper‑V, security, backups, and migrations.

You will mentor juniors, create documentation, and help shape project delivery while enjoying a hybrid working pattern to balance client work with internal development.

Qualifications

• Qualifications include networking, infrastructure and Microsoft qualifications (CCNA, JNCP, MCSA, VCP).
• Microsoft 365/Azure management including Conditional Access, Azure AD Connect, Exchange Online/Hybrid, SharePoint, Teams, Intune/Endpoint Manage.
• Cloud experience with AWS and Azure (public/private).
• VMware vSphere/Hyper‑V environments with replication/failover.
• VOIP systems support (FreePBX, Mitel, Gamma, Skype/Teams).
• Security: MDM, MFA, Email Filtering, Next-Gen firewalls, antivirus.
• Windows Server installation and configuration.
• Storage: SAN devices, iSCSI, clustering issues.
• Remote Desktop Services: RDS, RemoteApp, Citrix (on‑prem/cloud).
• Networking: Palo Alto, Sophos, FortiNet, Draytek, Juniper, Cisco firewalls.
• Endpoint support for Windows desktop, apps, tablets, mobile devices.
• Soft skills: communication, diagnosis, documentation, independent research, organisation, UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of implementation projects for customers with quality documentation.
• Handover projects to service delivery and introduce new technologies.
• Project scoping and planning; internal training and mentoring staff.
• Support and troubleshoot across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Hands‑on involvement configuring cloud services, VPNs, backups, DR solutions.

We are looking for an Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Consulting to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass delivering real-world solutions that make a difference for our clients. You’ll get involved in everything from project planning through to delivery and handover, all while working alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team.

Typical projects include a mix of on-premise and cloud work, so no two days are the same. You might be configuring new cloud services, migrating Microsoft 365 environments, deploying or upgrading virtual servers, installing and securing firewalls, setting up VPNs, or implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions. There’s plenty of variety, and you’ll often be hands‑on with new technologies, helping clients modernise their systems and improve reliability, performance, and security.

Project Delivery (80%)

• Delivering implementation projects to our customers.

• Creating excellent documentation.

Project Scoping Planning Training (20%)

• Internal training supporting staff members in their development

• Scoping and Planning successful projects

• Mentoring junior team members.
