Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum

VIQU has partnered with a leading international company seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to assist with the design and implementation of their enterprise infrastructure landscape. The role involves migrating into Azure infrastructure, so candidates must have experience leading migrations from on-premises environments into Azure and O365.

Responsibilities of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:

1. Designing the enterprise infrastructure landscape, including writing High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and implementing these designs.
2. Administering O365 services such as SharePoint, Security, Defender, Teams, and Exchange.
3. Managing Azure Hybrid Cloud environments and contributing to migration efforts into Azure cloud.
4. Collaborating with NOC and SOC teams to ensure security and network compliance with standards.
5. Creating and managing policies using Intune.
6. Managing backup systems and developing disaster recovery plans, with experience in Acronis being advantageous.
7. Utilizing security monitoring tools to ensure security compliance.
8. Providing third-line technical support for network, security, and infrastructure issues.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience designing and implementing Azure cloud infrastructure at a third-line support level; AWS experience is a bonus but not essential.
2. Experience with M365 solutions, including migration projects.
3. Strong background in infrastructure design and architecture within complex enterprise environments.
4. Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
5. Scripting and automation skills.
6. Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, WAN/LAN), preferably with Cisco technologies.
7. Experience with End User Computing tools such as Intune, Group Policy, and Virtual Desktop.
8. Understanding of ISO27001 compliance and security monitoring tools like Defender and Purview.
