The Team

We are looking for software engineers who can influence our database infrastructure's build, operation, and management.

What will you do?

• Design and develop systems automation for managing our large-scale cloud database estate.
• Collaborate with DBAs to deepen expertise in database engineering practices and technologies.
• Create best practices, tools, and libraries to improve the AWS database ecosystem's usability and reliability.
• Technical Execution
• Improve code structure, architecture, and review code within your team.
• Lead project planning, manage dependencies and risks, and collaborate across disciplines.
• Simplify maintenance and operation of production systems, ensuring visibility and operational health.
• Build relationships with other teams, identify collaboration opportunities, and influence the technical roadmap.
• Participate in hiring and support the growth of colleagues, promoting efficiency.

Desired experience includes:

• Writing readable, well-designed, well-tested software
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis
• Strong background in software engineering, preferably with Go and/or Python
• Practical cloud engineering experience, preferably with AWS
