Senior Infrastructure Engineer

London

£70,000 - £75,000 per annum

VIQU has partnered with a leading international company seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to assist with designing and implementing their enterprise infrastructure landscape. The role involves migrating into Azure infrastructure, so candidates must have experience leading migrations from on-premises environments to Azure, as well as O365.

Job duties of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:

• Designing enterprise infrastructure landscapes, including writing HLDs/LLDs and implementing these designs.
• Administering O365 services such as SharePoint, Security, Defender, Teams, and Exchange.
• Managing Azure Hybrid Cloud environments and contributing to Azure cloud migration efforts.
• Collaborating with NOC and SOC teams to ensure network and security compliance.
• Creating and managing policies using Intune.
• Managing backup systems and developing disaster recovery plans.
• Utilising security monitoring tools to ensure security posture.
• Providing third-line technical support for network, security, and infrastructure issues.

Requirements for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer:

• Experience designing and implementing Azure cloud infrastructure at a senior level; AWS experience is a plus but not essential.
• Proven experience with M365 solutions, including migration projects.
• Strong infrastructure design and architecture skills.
• Experience working within complex, enterprise environments.
• Implementing backup solutions and developing disaster recovery plans; experience with Acronis is advantageous.
• Scripting and automation skills.
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, WAN/LAN), ideally with Cisco technologies.
• Experience with End User Computing, including Intune, Group Policy, and Virtual Desktop.
• Understanding of ISO27001 compliance and familiarity with security monitoring tools like Defender and Purview.
