Job summary

Jefferies seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own design, engineering, and daily operations of virtualization, storage, and backup platforms across a hybrid multi-cloud environment worldwide. You will implement IaC and automation to deliver resilient, scalable infrastructure with strong security practices.

The role requires hands-on expertise in VMware, NetApp/Pure/Nimble storage, Commvault/Cohesity, and automation (Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerCLI).

Qualifications

• VMware certification (VCP/VCAP) required or active pursuit.
• 5–8 years hands-on vCenter/vSphere experience.
• 5+ years managing enterprise storage (NetApp/Pure/Nimble/Alletra/SAN).
• 3+ years backup/data protection tooling (Commvault/Cohesity).
• 5+ years automation and IaC (Terraform/Ansible/Python/PowerCLI).
• Experience with DR/recovery tooling (VMware SRM, Zerto).
• Experience with VMC on AWS/Azure/GCP and HCX is a plus.
• Strong networking basics, TCP/IP/DNS, and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and operate global VMware virtualization platform.
• Manage HA, DRS, vMotion, storage vMotion, and multipathing.
• Define virtualization strategies across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud.
• Oversee capacity planning, patching, upgrades, security hardening.
• Manage enterprise storage platforms and DR strategies.
• Build automation and IaC pipelines for provisioning and operations.
• Collaborate with global teams and participate in 24x7 on-call.
