Job summary

IG Group in London is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and optimise our virtualization, storage and backup platforms. You’ll act as the escalation point for major incidents and work to keep the environment resilient at scale.

The role requires 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure, hands-on Nutanix HCI, and strong automation skills (PowerShell/Python, Terraform/Ansible). This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in virtualization, storage and backup within large enterprises.
• Experience with Nutanix HCI and managing multi-site environments.
• Proficient in automation using PowerShell or Python and IaC tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, networking and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support virtualization, storage and backup systems.
• Act as escalation point for critical incidents and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Maintain infrastructure with regular software updates and timely patching.
• Proactively minimise incidents through monitoring and lifecycle management.
