Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer to design enterprise-scale Hyper-V and VMware VCF platforms across global data centers.

You will own virtualization designs, drive automation, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security and capacity teams to ensure resiliency and performance at scale. You will lead design decisions, implement automated provisioning, and advance AI-assisted analytics to improve reliability and auditability, while following disciplined change

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure disciplines and substantial hands-on experience in enterprise or large-scale environments.
• Expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware VCF in large-scale production environments.
• Proficiency in automation, operational tooling, and configuration management using scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Architect virtualization cluster designs across global pools including compute and storage.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and decommissioning using platform scripts and APIs.
• Benchmark compute and storage performance to guide capacity decisions.
• Diagnose full-stack issues across compute, storage, networking, clustering, and hypervisor layers.
• Evaluate server BOMs and provide feedback on performance characteristics.
• Harden environments with security teams and enforce baselines at scale.
• Document reference architectures and runbooks to improve repeatability.
• Mentor engineers through design and code reviews, raising platform quality.
• Utilize AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and document mitigations.
• Lead reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted practices with validated, auditable changes.
