Job summary

Synchro is seeking an experienced Senior Support Engineer to join a growing organisation, supporting a broad portfolio of customers and technologies. This is a role ideal for someone in an MSP environment or a 3rd Line/Senior Engineer seeking broader exposure beyond a single customer.

You will provide a wide range of technical support across multiple customers, with strong troubleshooting of Windows Server & Desktop, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune, plus networking, firewalls, TCP/IP and DNS.

Qualifications

• 2nd & 3rd line support experience in MSP or similar.
• Strong Windows Server and Desktop knowledge.
• Solid networking and virtualization understanding.
• Experience with Microsoft 365.
• Excellent customer-focused communication and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across multiple customers with strong troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot Windows Server/Desktop, M365, and networking issues.
• Assist with TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall configurations.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Synchro are hiring for an experienced Senior Support Engineer to join a large and growing organisation, which will support a broad & varied portfolio of customers and technologies.

This is a great opportunity for someone currently working in an MSP environment, or a 3rd Line / Senior Support Engineer looking to broaden their technical exposure beyond a single customer environment.

You will be providing a wide range of technical support across multiple customers, including very strong troubleshooting skills Windows Server & Desktop environment. You will be adept in supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune, as well as working across networking, firewalls, TCP/IP and DNS. You will have previously supported virtualised environments and storage

Required skills & experience

• Strong Senior Support / 2nd & 3rd Line experience
• Solid Windows Server & Desktop knowledge
• Good understanding of networking and virtualisation
• Experience with Microsoft 365
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
• Happy working across multiple technologies and customer environments

Experience with NetApp, Cisco, HPE, VMware, Microsoft Endpoint/Intune, SQL Server, Dynamics or firewalls would be advantageous although not essential.

This role is based out of Alcester, however hybrid remote working is on offer, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
