The role coordinates multiple workstreams, engages regulators and industry stakeholders, and helps define a Target Operating Model for future arrangements.

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of GB electricity market arrangements and industry reform challenges.
• Significant experience leading complex policy, market design or regulatory initiatives.
• Demonstrable experience operating at a strategic level across multiple business functions and disciplines.
• Ability to influence senior leaders, regulators, government officials and industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and evaluation of dispatch reform options.
• Shape future dispatch arrangements translating policy into market design solutions.
• Develop Target Operating Models, implementation strategies and transition arrangements.
• Engage with DESNZ, Ofgem and senior government stakeholders to influence policy development.
• Lead industry engagement activities with generators, traders and network companies to shape proposals.
• Represent NESO at industry and government forums and drive governance decisions.
