Job summary

Bedales School in Petersfield, United Kingdom, seeks an experienced ICT Network Manager to design, secure and maintain the school’s network and related systems. You will lead infrastructure projects, improve cyber security, and support staff and students daily.

You will provide high-quality 2nd/3rd-line support, mentor ICT colleagues, and help align technology with safeguarding and school policy. On-site role with occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Senior ICT technician experience or 2nd/3rd line equivalent.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, wireless, LAN/WAN.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, virtualization, storage and backups.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services incl. Exchange Online and Azure.
• Clear communication and commitment to safeguarding.
• Experience mentoring ICT colleagues and working in education.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain school network, switches, server, storage and CCTV.
• Administer cloud and on-premises systems incl. Microsoft 365 and device management.
• Maintain cyber security controls and monitor threats.
• Provide 2nd/3rd-line support and, when required, 1st-line support.
• Document procedures and ICT records; mentor technicians and apprentices.
