Job summary

Taylorollinson in Bedfordshire is seeking a Senior ICP-MS Analytical Chemist to join its environmental and pesticide analysis team on a permanent basis. The role requires hands-on experience in accredited ISO 17025 facilities, and expertise in ICP-MS method development and validation.

You will supervise junior staff, manage multiple projects, prepare samples, and ensure routine maintenance of lab equipment while upholding high throughput in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in accredited ISO 17025 facilities.
• Proven ICP-MS experience for environmental samples.
• Method development and validation experience preferred.
• Prior training/supervision of staff welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Analyse environmental and trace samples including extractions.
• Develop and run ICP-MS methods; validate new methods.
• Supervise and train junior staff.
• Manage multiple projects and workloads; ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare stocks, reagents and solutions; maintain lab housekeeping.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
