Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related subject (essential).
• Proven GC-MS experience with method development and validation (essential).
• Experience in accredited UKAS/ISO laboratories (essential).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-throughput laboratory (essential).
• Ability to work effectively in a team and individually (essential).
• Indefinite right to work in the UK, without visa sponsorship now or in the future (essential).

Responsibilities

• Analyse a variety of client water, liquid waste and food samples across environmental, agrochemical and waste sectors.
• Develop and run GC-MS methods including GC-QQQ and GC-TOF.
• Manage multiple projects, workload and timings.
• Prepare samples and maintain lab stocks, reagents and solutions.
• Train new staff on processes.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
