Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe’s Bedford laboratory is seeking a Senior Analyst in ICP-MS and Inorganic Chemistry to deliver high‑quality data from ultra‑trace analyses. You will lead day‑to‑day operation of advanced instrumentation, mentor analysts and extraction chemists, develop methods, and ensure compliance with UKAS‑aligned quality systems.

You’ll work onsite in a fast‑paced environment supporting national monitoring programmes, with opportunities to progress into senior technical or management roles

Qualifications

• BSc in Chemistry or related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience.
• Experience in an accredited analytical laboratory.
• Proven ICP-MS and CV-AFS competence.
• Familiarity with LIMS and regulatory testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ICP‑MS and CV‑AFS instrumentation and related systems.
• Lead method development, validation and optimization for environmental matrices.
• Mentor analysts and extraction chemists; review results and ensure data quality.
• Ensure UKAS-aligned quality procedures and accurate data entry in LIMS.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to design tailored analytical programmes.
