Job summary

Taylorollinson Ltd is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join their environmental and pesticide analysis team in Bedford. The role requires experience in LC-MS in an ISO 17025 accredited lab, with method development and validation experience preferred.

You will supervise and train junior staff, handle multiple projects, perform sample prep and routine lab duties, and contribute to high-throughput workflows in a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or equivalent; essential.
• Several years in UKAS/ISO 17025 environmental lab; essential.
• Experience using LC-MS in this setting; essential; method development/validation desired.
• Experience training or supervising staff; essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-throughput lab; essential.
• Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship now or in future; essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyse environmental and pesticide samples, including extractions.
• Develop and run LC-MS, LC-MS/MS and HPLC methods.
• Supervise and train junior staff.
• Manage multiple projects, workloads and timelines.
• Prepare samples, stocks, reagents, and maintain lab housekeeping.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
