Job summary

Taylorollinson Ltd. is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join its environmental and pesticide analysis team in the UK.

The role focuses on ICP-MS analysis of environmental samples, method development and validation, and staff supervision within an ISO 17025 accredited lab. Based in Bedford, the position is full-time and permanent, offering a competitive salary (£35,000–£45,000) depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• A degree related to Chemistry or equivalent subject (essential).
• Several years of proven experience in a UKAS/ISO 17025/ISO 9001 accredited environmental testing laboratory (essential).
• Proven experience using ICP-MS for environmental samples; method development/validation desired.

Responsibilities

• Analyse environmental and trace samples from clients, including extractions.
• Develop and run ICP-MS methods and validate new methods.
• Supervise and train junior staff.
• Work on multiple projects, manage workload and timings.
