Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Specialist to lead IBM MQ and middleware services on VMware and OpenShift within a Private Cloud Platform. You will drive automation, security, and reliability across enterprise messaging, collaborating with senior stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on expertise in IBM MQ, TLS security, and lifecycle management, and offers hybrid working with two office locations in Leeds and Manchester, plus participation in an on-call rota.

Qualificações

• Deep technical knowledge of IBM MQ architecture and distributed messaging.
• Strong experience securing MQ through TLS, certificates, authentication and authorization.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and connectivity issues.
• Experience across the full MQ lifecycle from design to upgrades.
• Understanding of enterprise security and operational controls.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and evolution of IBM MQ and middleware on VMware and OpenShift.
• Apply CI/CD and everything-as-code practices for secure, repeatable deployment.
• Act as middleware technical authority with stakeholders and leaders.
• Champion automation, observability, and security-by-design across middleware.
• Mentor colleagues and raise engineering standards across the Private Cloud platform.
