Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist zMQ to support complex MQ environments on z/OS. You will help evolve the MQ platform and align with automation, DevOps and modern engineering practices.

Hybrid role across Edinburgh, Manchester, or Leeds, with at least two days in office. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable services and participate in out-of-hours support when needed.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of MQ on z/OS and mainframe environments.
• Experience tuning MQ performance and diagnosing issues.
• Experience supporting business-critical online systems.
• Experience working with TLS and secure connectivity.
• Interest in automation and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support for complex MQ environments.
• Contribute to the MQ platform roadmap and evolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver the technology roadmap.
• Support automation, DevOps and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with middleware, infrastructure and engineering teams on integration.
• Support standardisation and operational excellence with controls.
