Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer (PAM) to lead IAM strategy and governance across cloud and on-prem environments. You will design and implement AI-driven identity controls, manage privileged access, and collaborate with product and security teams to reduce risk.

Experience with Azure Entra ID, PAM tools, and governance platforms is essential. The role emphasizes strong communication, mentorship of engineers, and delivery of security milestones in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Proven IAM principles including RBAC/ABAC/PBAC and Zero Trust.
• Hands-on AI driven initiatives within IAM or Cybersecurity.
• Analyze identity telemetry and translate insights into improvements.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) features.
• Experience with PAM (CyberArk, StrongDM) and hybrid identity.
• Experience with identity governance tools (Saviynt/SailPoint).
• Knowledge of securing access across cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Excellent communication and collaboration with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT, product teams, SOC and security architects to support IAM & PAM.
• Define requirements with stakeholders and translate to detailed engineering tasks.
• Deliver technical milestones aligned to product strategy and timelines.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to team standards and best practices.
