Job summary

Ascent Resourcing Limited seeks a Senior Identity & Access Management Specialist to join a growing cyber security function in Warwickshire. Hybrid role, with about 3 days remote per week, offering circa £90,000 plus benefits including a £4,800 car allowance.

The role balances IAM design (approximately 50%), governance (30%) and operational IAM (20%), working across enterprise identity platforms and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing or improving IAM/PAM in an enterprise.
• Experience transforming identity capabilities to target state with governance.
• Knowledge of identity lifecycle, JML processes, and cloud identity services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve IAM capabilities, controls and operating processes.
• Assess identity estate, identify gaps and risks, propose improvements.
• Define JML processes across employee, contractor and privileged identities.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, RBAC and least privilege controls.
• Support transition from Microsoft identity services to Entra ID.
• Establish IAM governance with access reviews and recertification.
• Develop privileged access controls and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Architecture to embed secure identity in designs.
• Define scalable patterns for enterprise apps, SaaS and cloud services.
• Investigate identity-related incidents and automate IAM workflows.
• Produce clear technical documentation and guidance.
• Work with suppliers and MSPs to deliver IAM improvements.
