Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our UK water team, with the flexibility to be based at several offices including Reading, High Wycombe, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Glasgow, or Edinburgh.

You will lead hydrogeological projects for clients across the UK and internationally, supervise field work, pumping tests and modelling, and help develop the next generation of hydrogeologists.

Qualifications

• You hold an MSc in Hydrogeology, a PhD, or have substantial post‑graduate experience in hydrogeology delivery.
• Strong experience leading hydrogeological work and communicating findings to clients.
• Comfort navigating regulatory, business and policy environments related to clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver hydrogeological work across varied project types for UK clients and international work.
• Supervise field operations, pumping tests, data analysis and numerical groundwater modelling.
• Mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge with the team.
